Netflix Shares Trailer for Spotify Series “The Playlist”
Netflix has released the official trailer of “The Playlist”, which is story based on the creation of Spotify. This limited mini-series is a six-episode show and will be premiering on 13th October. “The Playlist” will center around Spotify founder and CEO Daniel Ek, played by Vikings star Edvin Endre. A startup journey of how the company has become the most exquisite music streaming platform around the globe.
The show will also featuring other Spotify employees, such as Petra Hansson (played by Gizem Erdogan), Andreas Ehn (played by Joel Lutzow) and Martin Lorentzon, co-founder of Spotify (played by Christian Hillborg). On launching of mini-series, the Spotify spokesman said,” we recognize that even with our innovation and investments. When it comes to finding modern ways, more work needs to be done”.
The official trailer revealed that upcoming series is based on creation of Spotify, and if anything. The two-minute video indicates how the music streaming giant has built its empire. There is a bit of everything in it: high-stake business drama, suspenseful boardroom scenes, swanky parties and even the congressional testimony.

But you must remember that this show will be presented as “fictionalized account” of the rise of Spotify. It is not an accurate story nor it pretends to be a documentary. Instead, Netflix wrote in its caption that it is based on “6 untold stories” inspired by “Spotify Untold”, a book about Spotify written by two Swedish business reporters Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud.

There have been many fictionalized movies and shows about Big Tech companies revealing the startup journey and progress of the organization.
